I've been doing lots of little projects here and there over the last few weeks but I've been bad about keeping my progress updated.
First, Ramin and I will be headed to Florida next week to attend the Gilbert Family Reunion in the panhandle. I'll definitely take lots of pictures and I'm hoping it will be lots of fun with some relaxation in it because it's actually our first time off from work this year so far!
So here's what I've been working on for the past few weeks:
My tree skirt!
I've been working on this thing since way before last Christmas, probably in October of 2010. It's taken many, many, many hours of beading and sewing. But, finally all of the pieces are done, I just have to sew them altogether! That's proven the hardest part actually because it's so huge when it's all pinned together and I am sewing it all by hand. I hope it done it finished when we return from Florida.
Next are some of my items from my Etsy store - Insprial. I haven't sold anything yet but someone did inquire about a wholesale order and I'm getting lots of traffic. The store is on hold right now until after vacation but I want to really get it going after we get back. I'm really starting to like the hoop wall decor so I made one and I plan to make a few more to see if I have any luck with it!
And finally, my latest creation has been my 4th of July wreath! This is the holiday that I have the LEAST amount of decor for so I created one of my yarn wreaths and used my new Accuquilt Go! cutting dies for the all of the felt stars. It was super easy! I also got some wood from the Wood Connection and painted it and glittered it up so I have something for my table. I still need some more decor but it's a better start from what I had before!
So that's about it for now. I am so bad at taking pictures of actual PEOPLE so I'll try to do more of that in the coming months.
See you after we get back from Florida!
