September & October Phone Pictures

Here's the monthly dump of photos from my phone :)  Taking photos on my phone is basically the easiest way to document the happenings in my life. It's the lazy person's way of remembering life :)

Let's begin:

Very random picture of my desk at work. I have no clue why I wanted to take this picture...but now you know what my desk looks like at work. I'm tucked away nicely into my own little corner and I LOVE IT! 

 My FIRST red tomato from my tomato garden!! Too bad the weather is getting cold and I still have tons of little green tomatoes on the plants.

I was just watching TV and Dingo was being cute hiding behind Ramin's shoes for some reason.

One weekend Chris and I spent the entire DAY over at my mom's house cleaning up her yard. We pulled out tons of weeds in that little circle and near the large tall trees by the fence. Then we laid down weed fabric and covered it all with new mulch and I even planted some Fall mums. I also mowed the grass. The neighbors were even appreciative of our hard work to make the yard nice again.

A project for work. Shaun (my co-worker in this pic) and I are creating a training video and we needed someone to narrate the content. So we created a makeshift sound booth using a cardboard box and my blankets :)

I had an AWESOME walk with Dingo last weekend. On our trail we have some amazing wild flowers and I just had to get a picture of them because they were so beautiful!

Another picture from the same walk. Whenever I walk past this bush I think to myself "Wow, this thing is really yellow!!" And it really is compared to all of the other weed bushes in the canyon - so I took a picture of it :)

And this is just a view from the canyon trail in our neighborhood.  Pretty cool shot with the sun and Dingo.

We had a work meeting this week - we have so many people that we have to go to a theater to have the meeting. Here's my team - left to right is Shaun, Charlie, Misty (boss) and Jenn

Last night while Ramin and I were watching the Nascar race, Belle came and sat on his lap. Of course, that means picture time!

August & September Picture Updates

Here are the monthly picture updates taken from my phone!

On August 25th I ran my second 5k...actually, I walked more than anything. Half of it was completely uphill and it kicked my ass BIG TIME!! I did go with my good friend Tanner - although he was able to run most of it and left me in the dust! (don't worry I gave him permission to leave me). Anyway, it was called the Sundae Run and we got ice cream sundaes afterward, although I didn't feel much like eating mine - which is why mine hasn't been touched in our picture below :P

Our great friends Jenn and Matt scored some Real Salt Lake (MLS soccer) tickets with dinner included and so here we are in the VIP section before the game. Later this night it stormed BIG TIME!! 

A few Sundays ago I bunny-sat Chris and Tara's bunny, Charlie. I came over to their house for about an hour and fed and played with him. This picture was taken after he jumped on to their coffee table. Silly bunny. He's so soft and cute!

I posted my time from my first 5k in my last post, but here are the actual pictures from it! My best friend Jenn and I ran it together (I'm so glad she was there!). Ramin was awesome enough to capture us at the finish line!

August Picture Update

I can't believe it's already been almost a month since I last did a download of pictures to my blog - so here are the latest pictures I've compiled with updates :)

Did you know you can grow your own green onions? Just cut off the bottom white part and place in water and then let them grow in a window. These things are already huge again since I took this pic.

Front yard!

My Dad and I went to see a theatrical production of The Sound of Music on August 4th. Afterward we went to dinner and then out to Baskin Robbins - one of our favorite places to go! Here's Dad with his Rocky Road!

I've taken up running this summer and the other week I got professionally fitted for new shoes. Here's the picture I took of my new gear after coming home from the store.

I recently spent one Saturday cleaning out one of the 4 fish tanks we have. This is my favorite tank because it houses my precious Angelfish. I have 3 of them and I bought them as babies when they were the size of a quarter. Now, they're about the size of a fist - they are beautiful - and so is the tank now that it's clean!

A co-worker recently had a baby and our team put together a super cute gift basket full of clothes. This was part of my contribution - a felt decoration and the card. Their nursery colors are teal and orange and so I fashioned everything in those colors. The E on the felt heart stands for "Emily" - the new baby's name.

On August 11th I completed my first 5k!!! I was slow....we ran up a huge hill for most of the way and I happened a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and so I had to stop halfway through the race to go to the potty. I can usually run a 5k distance in 41 minutes...but this time I took 51 minutes for the aforementioned reasons :)

This picture is really hard to see...but they put a new pedestrian walking bridge over the busy highway right near our house. We sat in our pickup truck one night and watched the progress - it was a huge neighborhood event. Check the newstory about it here:http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=21729630

We all headed to Lagoon (a local amusement park) this past weekend as it was the eBay company picnic there. I don't have any pictures of Tara and Chris, but they did go with us

Finally, my latest sewing project is almost complete. Just gotta put on the face and scarf. This is Ramin's new Christmas stocking. It matches the Snow Queen one I'm making for myself along with lots of decor items for Christmas - I've been collecting a set.
